Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ,

In the latest International Council statement dated November 12, 2009 (Ref. 09-62), Couples for Christ is once again facing another challenge in our work for the poor through GK. Some people have been planning to cause disunity in other GK branches/locations. This is not a surprise, because after all, we are merely human. In fact, we in CFC Bermuda, praise God for this challenge and rejoice for today the Lord has allowed this in order for us to practice our values and our faith. Indeed, we should celebrate the fact that the Lord allowed the temptation of disunity, because He knows, we can handle it. As He promised in 1 Corinthians 10:13 "God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it." Whereas, these conflicts arise in other branches, let us continue to pray for them, that human frailty will not overcome God's plans, as we in CFC Bermuda continue to show our unity, fortitude, and faith to the rest of our brothers and sisters in other locations around the globe.

Let us be aware of these challenges without forgetting that God is in control, and we are called to pray for our brothers and sisters directly affected by these incidents. May the Lord continue to bless our community throughout the world.
